Training for ACI Field Technician, Grade I
The ACI examination requires a thorough knowledge of the following A.S.T.M. Standards:
ASTM C-172 Sampling Fresh Concrete
ASTM C-143 Slump
ASTM C-138 Unit Weight (Density )
ASTM C-173 Air content-volumetric method
ASTM C-231 Air content-pressure method
ASTM C-31 Making and Curing Test Specimens in the Field
ASTM C-1064 Temperature of Fresh Concrete
The performance test that follows the written examination requires a practical demonstration of the above A.S.T.M. Standards by the applicant. Please bring a calculator. Applicants should be familiar with test methods prior to training.

From beltway (I495), south on Georgia Ave (Exit 31B) for 1.0 mile; turn left onto Spring Street for 0.4 miles; turn right onto Ellsworth Drive, 719 is second building on right, RMC Research Foundation Education Center. (Park in the garage just beyond the training site)
