Presentation Description:
This presentation will cover program content and requirements for Adhesive Anchor Installer (AAI) certification and ACI’s newer Post-Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector (PICAII) certification programs, as well as both programs’ connection to ACI 318, “Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete.” 45+ ACI Chapters and Sponsoring Groups in North America, South America, and Southeast Asia have added the ACI AAI and PICAII certification programs to their repertoire of ACI certification offerings. The AAI program has been available throughout the United States since 2012/2013 and the PICAII program was rolled out in late 2016 and updated in 2019. This presentation will be of interest to contractors who use these products, engineering firms and agencies that offer inspection services, and engineering firms that write repair specifications. Topics covered in this presentation include: • What drove development of these certification programs; • How the programs were built and who built them; • Both programs’ connections to ACI 318 and 355; • Understanding responsibility of the inspector; and • The process and availability of these programs.
